The Restaurant “El Oroval”, in the Rural Hotel “Casa de los Camellos” (Camels' House) is situated in the old part of the municipality “Villa de Agüimes”. It is located in a large house finished in stone of masonry, surrounded by two inner patios with gardens. This large house has a high historical content, because it was an old granary where the Merchants were lodged with their camels and made their business.
In our Restaurant you will enjoy the traditional Canarian cuisine, with dishes, such as “papitas arrugadas con mojo” (small potatoes boiled in their jackets with red and spicy sauce), “escaldón de pescado” (fish casserole with hand rolled balls of toasted maize flour), and the typical “cochinillo dulce” (sweet suckling pig) of Agüimes. All these traditional dishes, accompanied with wines from the islands and home-made desserts, elaborated by our fabulous chef M. Migual Peña.
