SUMMARY:I Encuentro - Viaje a la descarbonización del destino Islas Canarias
DESCRIPTION:We are organising the “1st Canary Islands Destination Decarbonisation Journey” to commemorate the first anniversary of the destination’s accession to the Glasgow Declaration\, which will take place on 14 November at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. \nBy joining Glasgow\, the Canary Islands tourism sector is committed to reducing CO₂ emissions by 50% over the next eight years and to achieving net zero by 2050. We want to turn this event into an opportunity to share the progress of the Climate Action Master Plan\, present success stories and discuss new trends in sustainable tourism. \nTo this end\, we have prepared a programme in which universities\, companies and institutions will address various actions aimed at achieving climate neutrality.
