**The 42nd Congress of the Spanish Society of Physiological Sciences** will take place in **Las Palmas de Gran Canaria** on **18, 19 and 20 November 2026**. This new edition represents both a renewed opportunity and an exciting challenge for the Organising Committee, which is committed to maintaining the high scientific standards and active participation that have characterised our meetings in recent years.<\/p>\n

The Congress will once again provide a unique forum for the exchange of knowledge across the basic, translational and clinical fields of Physiological Sciences. We aim for these sessions to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, encourage new collaborations between national and international research groups, and serve as a platform for presenting innovative research that contributes to the advancement of our discipline.<\/p>\n

The scientific programme will address the most current topics in Physiology through thematic symposia, oral communications and poster sessions reflecting the diversity and excellence of our field. Without doubt, the true success of the Congress will depend on your presence and active participation, sharing results, exchanging ideas and working together to shape the future of Physiology.<\/p>\n

The sessions will take place in the exceptional setting of **Las Palmas de Gran Canaria**, a city open to the Atlantic and a bridge between continents, offering an outstanding environment for both scientific exchange and personal interaction. Moreover, this venue holds special significance for our community: we will gather in the city where the eminent physiologist **Dr Juan Negr\u00edn** was born, a key figure in the development of modern Physiology in Spain and an internationally recognised scholar for his outstanding academic and scientific achievements.<\/p>\n

Mindful of this legacy, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is preparing to welcome leading experts in national and international physiology, with the aim of honouring Dr Negr\u00edn’s memory through the pursuit of knowledge, scientific excellence and collaboration\u2014the very principles that defined his career.
