Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be the meeting point for 250 political, business and academic leaders to discuss technological sovereignty at the 17th Cotec Europa Summit on 20 September. Cotec is a private non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote innovation as a driver of economic and social development. The foundation organises an annual meeting with its counterpart organisations from Portugal and Italy in different cities, and this year the event will be held at the Pérez Galdós Theatre in the capital of Gran Canaria. Cotec’s honorary president, King Felipe VI, will be in attendance, along with the presidents of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and Italy, Sergio Mattarella, accompanied by some of their ministers.
