This year the Cabildo de Gran Canaria is once again holding the Conference on Best Practices in Human Resources, which has been so well received in previous editions. We will do so by talking about current issues and with expert speakers in the field who will surely help us to understand the need to innovate and continue to improve in such a complex subject as the management of Public Administration personnel.

We will begin the day by talking about the draft Civil Service Law, to try to explain what it entails and eliminate the uncertainty surrounding it. Then, in line with the new law, Carles Ramió, Professor of Political Science and Administration, will give us some ideas on a personnel management model and the guiding principles that should guide it. Aspects such as the new competencies that will be required of Civil Servants who are going to develop their professional careers in the Administrations will be addressed.
