**The 42nd Congress of the Spanish Society of Physiological Sciences** will take place in **Las Palmas de Gran Canaria** on **18, 19 and 20 November 2026**. This new edition represents both a renewed opportunity and an exciting challenge for the Organising Committee, which is committed to maintaining the high scientific standards and active participation that have characterised our meetings in recent years.
The Congress will once again provide a unique forum for the exchange of knowledge across the basic, translational and clinical fields of Physiological Sciences. We aim for these sessions to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, encourage new collaborations between national and international research groups, and serve as a platform for presenting innovative research that contributes to the advancement of our discipline.
The scientific programme will address the most current topics in Physiology through thematic symposia, oral communications and poster sessions reflecting the diversity and excellence of our field. Moreover, this venue holds special significance for our community: we will gather in the city where the eminent physiologist **Dr Juan Negrín** was born, a key figure in the development of modern Physiology in Spain and an internationally recognised scholar for his outstanding academic and scientific achievements.
