ECOS is an international congress that focuses on modern aspects of Thermal Sciences with special emphasis on Thermodynamics and its applications in energy conversion systems and processes. This year’s edition, ECOS2023, the thirty-sixth, will be held in Spain for the second time in its history.

ECOS stands for Efficiency, Cost, Optimisation and Simulation of Energy Conversion Systems and Processes, keywords that describe the content of the presentations and debates taking place at the congress. It is worth noting that in Greek “ecos” means “home” and is used here with two meanings: (i) the earth as our home that we must protect, and (ii) the congress as a home for a fruitful exchange of our ideas.

The purpose of the congress is for participants to present new research results and exchange views on the performance, economics and environmental impact of energy systems, their design and possible developments.
