The Mediterranean consistently ranks as the world’s second most-popular cruising destination with MedCruise ports recording almost 36m passenger movements in 2024 – a 9% year-on-year increase. In terms of cruise calls, there were 15.8k across the Mediterranean and adjoining seas last year. More than 50% of the new cruise ships delivering in 2026 will debut in the Mediterranean.
