It is a pleasure to address you as we approach the final weeks before we gather at the SEAIC International Symposium: New Challenges and Opportunities in Food Allergy, which will take place from 28 to 31 October 2026 in Gran Canaria.

We are at a particularly important moment for the field of allergology. Continuous advances in our understanding of immunological mechanisms, the development of new diagnostic tools, the emergence of innovative therapeutic strategies, and the challenges arising from the growing impact of food allergy on our patients make scientific meeting spaces such as this more essential than ever.

Over these days, we will have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss the latest advances, and explore the challenges that will shape the future of our specialty. The scientific programme has been designed to provide the most up-to-date content, promote the exchange of knowledge, and foster collaboration among specialists, researchers, and professionals involved in the management of food allergy.

The symposium venue, the Expomeloneras Convention Centre, will provide an ideal setting for a meeting that aspires to become a leading forum for learning, scientific discussion, and the development of new collaborative opportunities.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Scientific Committee, the speakers, moderators, and everyone whose dedication and efforts are helping to make this event possible. Their commitment is essential to ensuring the scientific quality and success of this edition.

The Local Organising Committee is working with great enthusiasm to offer you an enriching experience, both scientifically and personally. We trust that these days will enable us to continue advancing our understanding of food allergy and strengthen the collaborative ties that drive our specialty forward.

There is very little time left before we meet again. It will be a pleasure to welcome you to Gran Canaria very soon and share a few days of science, debate, and professional growth with you all.

We look forward to welcoming you to Gran Canaria, a land of diversity.
