La Jaira de Ana is a farm school located in Agüimes that began as a family project in 2002 and took on a new form in 2020 as a space dedicated to environmental education, animal welfare and promoting the primary sector in the Canary Islands.

In a carefully designed natural environment, it offers people of all ages the opportunity to reconnect with nature and rural life through participatory experiences focused on direct contact with animals in the wild and the promotion of local products.

The farm has a cheese factory called Los Quesitos de Anabel and offers services tailored to different audiences, such as experiential activities like a tour of the farm, tastings of local products, milking and cheese-making workshops, and even the possibility of sponsoring a goat, promoting learning through direct contact with nature.

It also offers school trips with educational workshops, programmes for companies or groups, celebrations such as birthdays and weddings, and a children’s summer camp with rural and environmental activities. Some events can be extensively customised, with aspects such as decoration and food being specified.

La Jaira de Ana is firmly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and promotes a model of responsible tourism based on environmental education, local consumption, respect for biodiversity and cultural roots. Every action within the project seeks to generate a positive impact on people and their surrounding environment.

It is currently recognised by ECOISLA and has been awarded the FADEMUR RESPONSIBLE LABEL for its sustainable cheeses. Its packaging has also been named Best Image of the Canary Islands 2025.

La Jaira de Ana is the union of tradition and innovation, a youthful spirit that values the Canary Islands from a social and environmental perspective, generating activities that involve society in order to value our environment and our local products.
